Birch & Waite Foods required an additional food manufacturing facility to expand their product offering and increase output while strategically planning for future growth. RMR Process was engaged to design and project manage the food factory design, build & fit-out, ultimately building a cost-effective, fully compliant and hygienic facility. The $13.5 million factory featured the Southern Hemisphere's first commercial sized shaking retort as well as Australian-first thermal processing technology and innovative sachet packaging technology.

Wicked Sister

New Process Facility & Expansion

PDP Fine Foods, manufacturers of the Wicked Sister dessert range, partnered with RMR Process to develop a brownfield site, where an existing warehouse was converted into a dairy desserts factory in Ingleburn, Sydney. RMR Process designed and managed the build, fit out and process to ensure food safety and building standards were met.

High-Volume High-Care Powder Blending Facility

Food ingredients company Danisco, acquired by DuPont, engaged RMR Process to oversee a new high-care, high-volume powder blending facility with a small footprint, to meet their needs to expand their processing operations, not only to achieve higher volumes, but also to more easily meet food safety requirements. The project, which included the design, execution and start-up of a three-storey highly specialised, high-care powder blending facility, was constructed inside a busy operational warehouse in Erskine Park, Sydney.

Pet food processing facility

RMR Process assisted ilume with the entire lifecycle of their Melbourne based gourmet pet food facility, from concept and product development to commercial launch.

RMR Process teamed up with a commercial construction partner to support illume’s major project at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Palmerston North, New Zealand

RMR Process was engaged by PFPL to design and project manage their Greenfield Site project. BPL Structural & Civil Engineers were engaged to detail the factory design and oversee Colspec Construction, the construction contractors. The nine month project was completed under budget, before time and with zero product waste.

RMR Process credits the success of this project to the integrated approach by all parties to meet the critical milestones. The tight timelines, due to the clients' seasonal production, required some creative planning early on and it showed what is possible when everyone involved takes early responsibility for start-up.

Air Dried Meat Facility

Canberra, ACT

RMR Process was selected to upscale Barbell Foods from a small commercial kitchen to a modern 450 square metre factory in Canberra, with a purpose-built drying room and new machinery. The move resulted in an 8-fold increase in production capacity, 60% reduction in labour costs and strategic possibilities for further expansion.
